Germany Terms and Conditions 2008
Extras included:
The rental prices include:
* Full comprehensive vehicle coverage with
(Euro) € 1200.00 deductible per damage and € 500.00 per part comprehensive damage claim.
* Third party insurance with unlimited coverage for injury to persons, property and financial loss.
* Maintenance service and repair for wear.
* Equipment and accessories appropriate to vehicle model.
Limitation of liability and insurance:
Provided the vehicle was duly used in accordance with the purpose,
terms and conditions of the contract, then the hirer shall only be liable to pay for the costs of any damage incurred during the hire period up to a maximum of € 1200.00 for third-party and up to € 500.00 for
comprehensive insurance cover per damage claim, (in case of break in, broken windscreen, caused by hail or accidents with wild animals). These deductibles always apply and cannot be excluded from the contract. The hirer shall
also be fully and solely liable for all and any costs for damage resulting from vehicle use by an unauthorized driver. For damage caused by malintent or gross negligence, especially if the driver is unfit to drive as a result
of alcohol or drugs, the limitation of liability is null and void.
To reduce your liability our company offers liability reduction insurance for €8.50 per day of rental. The liability reduction reduces the
deductible for partly comprehensive insurance to € 200,00 and for fully comprehensive insurance
to € 600,00 per damage.
Flat rate service fee:
A flat rate service fee is always included in the
basic prices (for service fee cost please see price list). It includes the following facilities: full fresh water tank, full gas bottle, toilet chemicals, bicycle rack (not for VW California), and exterior cleaning. The
vehicles are handed over clean, and they must be returned clean. If interior cleaning must be carried out by the rental company, cleaning fees are charged (for costs, see price lists). Toilet cleaning € 100.00.
Cleaning Fee:
The vehicles are handed over with a clean interior and should be returned likewise. A cleaning charge will be levied upon drop off of the vehicle (please see price list for the cost) if the interior of the
vehicle and / or the toilet waste tanks have to be partially or totally cleaned by the rental company. Toilet cleaning costs € 150.00. The fuel tanks also must be filled to the level they were upon pick up of the vehicle.
Drivers License Requirements and Minimum Age for drivers:
The minimum age of the driver is 21. Driver must have had a driver's license for at least 1 year. Please note that the motorhome classes 5 to 7 have a
gross vehicle weight of more than 3.5 t.
Costs:
Fuel costs and operating costs must be borne by the renter (full vehicle gas tank when picked up and returned). The rental prices are always from the pick-up
point until the return to the drop off point. Seasonal rates will be charged in accordance with the use by the renter. If the vehicle is returned after the time agreed in writing, we will charge € $28.00 per hour or part
of an hour (but not more than the daily rate), and we will pass on to you any claims for compensation damage which the subsequent renter may take against us as a result of delayed vehicle supply.
Travelers Insurance:
We highly recommend that you purchase travelers Insurance when you rent a Motorhome in Europe. This insurance would greatly help you in case of a cancellation due to any unforeseen injuries or family emergency’s or in
case of theft happening while traveling in Europe.
Cancellation Policy:
If the renter cancels the binding reservation, the following cancellations charge becomes due: up to 50 days before the receipt: 10% of
the rent; from the 49th day up to the 15th day before receipt: 50% of the rent; from the 14th day on: 80% of the rent; on the day of rental or if the vehicle is not taken over: 95%. The renter is free to present evidence that
no damage or less damage was caused.
Conditions of payments:
A security deposit of € 1200.00 is required at departure to ensure the vehicle is returned on time, complete with all equipment and in
undamaged condition. Deposits may be made by credit card, traveler Cheques or cash. Refunds will be issued within 20 days after the drop off and the final check. A deposit of USD $400.00 must be paid to secure your reservation.
The expected rental price must be paid, at the latest, 55 days before pick-up. For bookings at short notice (less than 50 days) the expected rental price is payable immediately. The depots main office will reimburse the deposit
once the vehicle has been returned in acceptable condition and all and any costs or charges due have been paid. Any additional charges payable (cleaning charge, damage to vehicle, etc.) will be deducted from the security
deposit when the vehicle is returned.
Pick-up and return of vehicle:
Pick ups are from Monday to Friday 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. (except winter months: only until 4 p.m.!) and drop offs are from Monday to Friday from 9
a.m. to 10 a.m. If clients wish to pick up in the morning or drop off in the afternoon, we have to charge one extra day.
Pick ups and drop offs on Saturdays are only available from April to September 2005 from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m. We charge an additional Saturday fee of € 70,00 for each pick up or drop off.
Before beginning the
motorhome trip, it is absolutely essential that the renter receive instructions on the use of the vehicle from our motorhome expert at the pick-up location. Pick up after over-seas flights only one day after landing. Please
provide your flight date, time and number and we will be pleased to reserve your hotel room for a special rate.
Depots:
You may pick up and drop off your Germany Motorhome in Munich, Hamburg, Frankfurt and Düsseldorf.
Transfers:
Transfers to and from the depot are not provided by the company. In Hamburg, Frankfurt and Düsseldorf
it is advisable to take a Taxi. In Munich the best way to arrive to the depot is by Train.
Trips Abroad:
Trips abroad within Europe are possible. For trips to non-European countries, special insurance cover
must be arranged with the rental company. Trips into war areas are forbidden. A special authorization form is needed if you wish to travel to Eastern European states, this authorization has to be signed in the station when they
pick up the vehicle.
Additional Costs:
The following accessories can be rented on request: bedding, per person € 48.00, bedding sets include 1 Pillow, 1 Continental quilt, 1 pillowcase, 1 Quilt cover, and
1 big sheet. Towel set, per person € 16.00, includes 1 bath towel and 1 towel. Camping table = € 7.00, Camping chair = € 7.00, child’s safety seat are € 10.00 - € 19.00. Snow chains € 49.00,
extra costs for use € 49.00. Amendment fee's after booking, € 20.00 per amendment.
