2007 – 2008 Terms and Conditions
Standard Rates include:
Unlimited kilometres (mileage) for all vehicle types

Minimum Rental Duration and Costing
Minimum rental period: 5 days. Minimum rental is extended to 10 days for the travel period from 20 December to 05
January. Vehicle rentals are calculated on a per calendar day basis, i.e. day of pick-up or drop off is always counted as a full day irrespective of what time it is collected or dropped off.
Long-term Rental
Special conditions apply for rentals of more than 50 days.

One-Way Rental Fee
One-Way rentals are available between depot locations. NO ONE-WAY FEE IS APPLICABLE.
License and Minimum Age
A valid national drivers license is required. National drivers licenses, which are not in English,
need to be presented in conjunction with an official translation or valid international drivers license. The minimum age is 21 years.
Traffic Laws
The hirer is liable for all fines and penalties in relation to
the driver's use of the vehicle or the vehicle itself incurred during the rental period plus an administration fee of NZ$ 25 for each infringement or penalty notice that has been redirected by KEA to the hirer.
Standard Excess Insurance Cover
All KEA Campers vehicles come with comprehensive insurance cover. A standard excess of NZ$ 5,000 applies in the event of any damage to either our vehicle or third party property. The
renter will also be fully liable for replacing or repairing damaged windscreens and tyres. A security bond of NZ$ 5,000 will be taken on vehicle collection. The security bond can be paid by cash, traveler’s cheque or credit
card. Should the bond be paid by credit card the amount will be debited to your account immediately, any currency fluctuations are not the responsibility of KEA Campers. The bond is fully refundable on return of the vehicle to
the agreed location, on the agreed date, with no damage incurred to the KEA Campers vehicle or third party property and the toilet cassette and waste water tank has been emptied and no items are lost or damaged.
KEA Campers offer the following two (2) options to reduce or waive the Standard Excess:
Excess Reduction 1
Excess Reduction 1 at NZ$ 25 per day will reduce the excess for any damage to either vehicle or third
party property to a maximum of NZ$ 2,000. The renter, however, will be fully liable for replacing or repairing damaged windscreens and tyres. The bond of NZ$ 2,000 can be paid by cash, traveler’s cheque or credit card: a manual
imprint of the credit card will be taken. This is fully refundable on return of the vehicle to the agreed location, on the agreed date, with no damage incurred to the KEA Campers vehicle or third party property and the toilet
cassette and waste water tank has been emptied and no items are lost or damaged. The total insurance charge is limited to a maximum of 50 days or NZ$ 1,250.
Excess Reduction 2
Excess Reduction 2 at NZ$ 35 per
day will waive the excess for any vehicle and third party property damage and the cost of replacing or repairing of windscreens and tyres. However, a security deposit of NZ$ 250 is payable at the time of pickup to ensure that
the vehicle is returned to the agreed location, on the agreed date in clean condition and with the toilet cassette and waste water tank has been emptied and no items are lost or damaged. The total charge is limited to a maximum
of 50 days or NZ$ 1,750.
IMPORTANT
The renter is fully liable for any damage to the KEA Campers vehicle or third party property if:
1. The terms of the rental contract are breached.
2. Damage to the vehicle is caused by careless, wilful or reckless driving.
3. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
4. Driving on restricted roads.
5. Water submersion or salt water damage caused through
own fault. In case of any damage to the KEA Campers vehicle or third party property a second bond will be collected to cover the excess for any subsequent damage.
Restrictions
Campervans/Motorhomes can only be
driven on sealed/bitumen or well maintained roads. No vehicles shall be driven on the following roads: Skippers Canyon Road, Ball Hutt Road, 90 Mile Beach, all unsealed ski access roads. No animals permitted in vehicles. No
smoking permitted in vehicles.
Repairs
Repairs of up to NZ$ 100 may be effected without authorisation and will be reimbursed. Amounts above NZ$ 100 require approval from KEA on-road assistance.
Vehicle Return
All vehicles must be returned with a full fuel tank. Re-fuelling at our depot will be charged at NZ$ 2 per litre of fuel plus an administration fee of NZ$ 15.
Reservation and Deposit
At
time of booking a deposit of USD $400.00 is payable. The deposit secures the booking. The balance is due 40 days prior to commencement of the hire. If the balance is not received 40 days prior to commencement of the hire, KEA
Campers reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled. In this case the deposit is non refundable.
Cancellation Fees
Fees in Percentage of Gross Rates if:
Up to 25 days prior to pickup: No Fee
24 – 6 days prior to pickup: 15% of Gross rental
5 – 0 days and NO SHOWS: 50% of Gross rental
No refunds are given for unused days or early returns of rental vehicles.
Motorhome Rentals World Wide charges a 5% fee for all cancellations to cover our handling fees.
Multiple Rentals - Minimum of 5 days per Country
Multiple rentals can be combined to qualify for a longer term
rental rate. Australia and New Zealand rentals can be combined to qualify if travel is within a 12 month period.

Change of Vehicle
If, for reasons beyond our
control, the reserved vehicle is not available, we reserve the right to substitute a comparable or superior vehicle at no extra cost to the client. This shall not constitute a breach of contract and does not entitle the renter
to any form of refund.
Taxes
All charges include 12.5% GST. All rates and conditions are subject to change in accordance with changes in government taxes.
Changes of Contract
Changes to the contract are only valid in writing. Verbal changes are invalid unless confirmed in writing.
